The International Luge Federation elite are about to compete in the competition’s 40th winter season. 

USA Luge has announced the second Running of the Balls (ROTB2) fundraiser to help support the team’s athletes and programs.

The US team travels to the two Viessmann Luge World Cups on home soil on the back of seven top 10 finishes.

The next prizes beckon: just one week after the medals won at the 45th World Championships organized by the International Luge Federation (FIL), Natalie Geisenberger and Felix Loch of Germany look ready to collect the overall titles in the Viessmann World Cup. 

Lillehammer (RWH) The President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Josef Fendt of Berchtesgaden, will honor this season’s 7th Viessmann World Cup in the Norwegian town of Lillehammer with his presence next weekend, January 31 to February 1, 2015, when Germany’s singles specialists Natalie Geisenberger and Felix Loch could well take a decisive step towards defending their titles. 

The Viessmann World Cup is starting the new year with the classic Konigssee race, a race which is being held for the 35th time, and which this time round can also be seen as the dress rehearsal for the 2016 Luge World Championships. 

Lake Placid (RWH) Olympic Champions, World Champions and top of the World Cup rankings: Natalie Geisenberger and Felix Loch (both GER) currently hold all of the race bib titles the International Luge Federation (FlL) has on offer.
