Officials from the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games have noted their concerns over delays related to the organization of the 2022 Mediterranean Games. The ICMG Executive Committee has vowed to continue cooperation with local organizers.

The UCI granted the Vatican membership during the organization’s 190th Congress, becoming the first international sports federation to do so.
