Felix Nmecha helped Borussia Dortmund edge out Newcastle United for a 1-0 triumph in the UEFA Champions League group stage at St. James' Park on Wednesday.
Nmecha netted the game's solitary goal in time added on at the end of the first half when he found the net to cap off a fast break. The midfielder finished low into the right corner after combining with Nico Schlotterbeck.
Wastefulness in front of goal impacted both sides in the match, Niclas Füllkrug spurning a big chance for Dortmund, Newcastle rueing a lack of composure from Callum Wilson and Anthony Gordon.
