Rangers saw a lead slip through their grasp late on in the opening leg of their UEFA Champions League play-offs tie at Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday as PSV earned a 2-2 draw thanks to a Luuk de Jong goal - extending the visitors' unbeaten streak in all competitions to 22.

De Jong drew PSV level with 10 minutes to go when he steered home a header following a corner high into the left corner.

Ibrahim Sangaré also netted for the visitors, with Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo on target for the home team.

Sima broke the deadlock for Rangers in time added on at the end of the first half high into the right corner. But that lead did not last as Sangaré hauled the sides level in the 61st minute. Johan Bakayoko supplied the assist.

Matondo, finding the net at the end of a fast break, then edged Rangers back in front with 14 minutes remaining, with striker Cyriel Dessers this time the provider. But any hopes of the home team claiming all three points were dashed as de Jong netted an equaliser four minutes later.

The draw will leave Rangers to reflect on what might have been as Danilo missed a good chance that came his way in the game.
