M Haifa won last week's opening leg 2-1 at Štadión Tehelné pole. Frantzdy Pierrot scored first for Maccabi Haifa in the fifth minute. Diaa Sabia also was on target. Slovan Bratislava's only goal came courtesy of Maccabi Haifa's Abdoulaye Seck putting the ball in his own net.
