According to the investigation generated by the accuser, alias 'El Nene', he subjected her romantic partner to multiple mistreatments, for which she had fled him, until she was unfortunately killed by her attacker. “The victim, aged 40, received several injuries to the back and died. The investigation found that he had stopped living with Jaramillo Julio because he was enduring continuous physical and sexual attacks,” the Attorney General's Office said in a statement.
A prosecutor from the Bolívar Sectional charged the accused aggressor with the crimes of aggravated femicide, and the manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. The charges were not accepted by the defendant, who must remain in the Ternera prison in Cartagena. For its part, the family of the female victim of femicide hopes that it will be an exemplary conviction for the accused for the regrettable homicide that is added to the sad list of women murdered by their partners or former partners.
So far this year, six cases of femicide have been reported in the department of Atlántico. At the end of March, the death of Yasli Carolina Ortega Bastida, who was also stabbed by her romantic partner after a fight, was reported in the Las Americas neighborhood. For this femicide, William Hernando Molina Soto, the victim's romantic partner, was captured.

A woman finds herself with a reserved prognosis in a hospital in Florencia (Caquetá), in southern Colombia, after she was the victim of a brutal beating by her partner last Monday, April 18.
The Attorney General's Office reported that the incident occurred in the Nueva Colombia neighborhood, in the home where the victim resided with her alleged aggressor, who was identified by the authorities as Germán Silva Rodríguez.
“Neighbors managed to hear their cries for help, so they notified the authorities whom the insured person wanted to deceive by giving them several versions and incorrect information and thus preventing them from entering the residence,” they indicated in the Prosecutor's Office.

“According to the medical opinion, she suffered multiple injuries to the skull, chest, abdomen, as well as multiple lacerations. He allegedly attacked her with a blunt object to her head and face. It caused a fracture in the upper jaw,” said the director of the Prosecutor's Office in Caquetá.
According to testimonies from the victim's children, she had been suffering violence from the 50-year-old man for quite some time, so she was looking for ways to separate from her attacker.
