The head of the Kryvyi Rog military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, has warned that Russian troops are preparing an attack on the city, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, from Kherson, where Ukrainian authorities have warned that Russia is preparing an independence referendum.
“The enemy carries out the formation of an offensive attack in our direction in the Kherson region. In the coming days, we look forward to their possible offensive. But we know more about them than they think, we understand all their plans, and we are fully prepared for any development of the situation,” he said.
In this regard, he stated in his Telegram profile that “all military units are ready” and that “work continues to evacuate” civilians on the front line, so the administration has provided buses to carry out these humanitarian corridors.
“In the past three days, more than 5,000 residents of the Kherson region were evacuated in various directions. For those who spend the night in Kryvyi Rih and drive further, we will arrange beds. For those who stay longer, we have prepared resettlement in schools, kindergartens and therapeutic centers,” he explained.
Elsewhere in the country, the Zaporiyia regional military administration has pointed out that Russian troops continue to attack Ukrainian troops' positions with mortars, artillery and multiple rocket launching systems along the entire line of contact.
“The struggle for the occupied settlements of the territory of Zaporiyia continues. The enemy is trying to concentrate its efforts in the direction of Guliaipole. The enemy is building the air defense and control system,” his administration said in a message, as the Unian news agency has collected.
On the other hand, the head of the Poltava regional military administration, Dimitri Lunin, has warned in his Telegram profile that at least five Russian missiles have hit infrastructures in the region, although at the moment it is unknown whether there are any casualties.
Clashes also continue in Kharkiv, where the region's governor, Oleg Sinegubov, reported on his Telegram profile that at least two civilians were killed and fourteen injured this Sunday in different parts of the region.
The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Ukrainian Parliament, Liudmila Denisova, who has already denounced the Russian bombings on “peaceful cities” this Sunday, coinciding with the Orthodox Easter celebrations, said that Russian troops have damaged a canal and that reparations are not possible due to constant bombing.
“Due to the bombardment of the Russian enemy, residents of the temporarily occupied districts of the Donetsk and Lugansk provinces have no water supply. The occupants damaged the third elevation of the Seversky Donets-Donbas channel with artillery,” he said, according to Interfax news agency.
The State Border Service of Ukraine has also explained in a statement posted on its official website that Russian troops have attacked a psychoneurological boarding school in the town of Atynske, very close to the Russian border.
“The door and windows of the building are broken. Private apartments in the village of Boyaro-Lezhachi were also shelled from Russian territory. Fortunately, there are no human casualties,” he reported.
