In a second triune, the university made an invitation to people to help in the search for their student. “Likewise, it invited those who may have information associated with this case to submit it in a timely manner to the competent authorities. La Javeriana expresses all her solidarity with her family and friends and hopes that she will be reunited with them very soon.”

After two days without knowing his whereabouts, Nelson López, Juan Andrés's father, spoke to RCN Radio about his family's distress.

Juan Andrés and his family live in the Los Andes neighborhood near the Cafam Floresta shopping center, in the town of Barrios Unidos. Faced with the respective reports of her disappearance, her father assured that, “at this moment we are filing a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office and then we will place it in the Sijín Police”.

The investigating body confirmed that it has already received the corresponding complaint. “We activated the search mechanism that includes the National Police and a support network to identify Juan Andrés and warn the community about his disappearance.”

Another action that will be carried out by the Attorney General's Office will be to collect the university's security videos and they will monitor them through the city's cameras to establish whether he took an application vehicle near the institution or reached the Transmilenio system, as his father anticipated in the radio interview.

Faced with additional information following his disappearance, Nelson stated that “we have been able to identify that on Thursday night Transmilenio's personalized card was used and yesterday Friday morning too, but unfortunately we don't know if it is him or not, we have not been able to access to watch the videos of the cameras of monitoring of Transmilenio stations”.

Family, colleagues and friends have come together to spread the photograph of the young man and thus find his whereabouts. According to Lopez's relatives, he is 1.72, has no tattoos or characteristic scars.

Finally, in his interview with RCN, the father of the disappeared young man said that, “we rule out that he has gone to share with his friends because he always tells us where he is going to be and he answers us, but the worrying thing is that since Thursday night his cell phone does not work, he hasn't communicated, or anything”. His relatives, for the time being, turn to the help of citizens to provide information on the location of Juan Andrés López Rojas through the cell phone number 3107663103.
