Love, war and prejudice will be portrayed in Pachinko, an original drama on Apple TV+. T he first three episodes were released on March 25, 2022, followed by weekly premieres every Friday until April 29. The first season will have eight episodes.

The series invites us to enter the life of Sunja, the daughter of a fisherman who falls in love with a millionaire man who promises to see the world, without telling him that he is actually married and has a dangerous relationship with the Japanese mafia 'The Yakuza'. In itself, this sweeping saga chronicles the hopes and dreams of a family of Korean immigrants, over four generations, as they leave their homeland in the indomitable quest to survive and prosper.

Based on the 2017 novel, considered one of the best sellers by The New York Times, which bears the same name Pachinko, written by Lee Min-jin (South Korean-American author). Starring Soji Arai (Mozasu), Jin Ha (Solomon), Inji Jeong (Yangjin), Min-Ha Kim (the teenager Sunja), Lee Min-Ho (Hansu), Kaho Minami (Etsuko), Steve Sanghyun Noh (Isak), Anna Sawai (Naomi), Junwoo Han (Yoseb), Eun Chae Jung (Young Kyunghee), Jimmy Simpson, (Tom Andrews), Yu-na Jeon (young Sunja) and Youn Yuh-Jung (74), the first Korean and second Asian woman to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, for Minari, in the role of older Sunja.

1. Pachinko in Korean means “game system very similar to that of pinballs. They combine a modern video system with the classic pinball.”

In an interview Le Min Ho revealed that he was nervous to audition for Pachinko, since, for a long time, the actor did not have to participate in auditions for his characters, since the scripts reached his hands and he only chose.
