Colombian Foreign Minister and Vice President Marta Lucia Ramirez has been active on social media commenting on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has been going on for more than two months. On April 24, he highlighted the announcement made by the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, of his visit to Moscow and Kiev next week.
On this fact, Ramírez trinó: “The need for mediation of the UN Secretary-General was evident. Zelensky assured that the Russian occupation is intended as the beginning of an operation to capture other countries. Guterres will travel to Kiev soon after meeting Putin in Moscow.”
Likewise, the Chancellor added: “May the mediation of the Secretary-General, with the support of other world leaders, serve to prevent further loss of life and the destruction of Ukraine.”
While Ramirez was publishing the triunes in favor of the Ukrainian people and expressing himself regarding the international conflict and the postulates of President Volodymir Zelensky, users of the network questioned her for not commenting on national conflicts and even mentioned the decision taken by the International Court in The Hague, which ruled favor of Nicaragua.

The visit of United Nations Secretary General António Guterres to the Russian country was made public through Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who said “On Tuesday, April 26, UN Secretary General António Guterres will arrive in Moscow for talks with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov”.

“The war is in Ukraine, there are no bodies on the streets of Moscow. It would be logical to go to Ukraine first and see people, to see the consequences of the occupation,” said Zelensky, learning that Guterres will attend Moscow first.
For their part, other international leaders have positively pointed to the UN Secretary's visit to countries in conflict, as the Colombian Vice-President and Foreign Minister pointed out: Guterres mediation could be essential in the de-escalation of the conflict that has been going on for more than two months.
