The Ministry of District Finance announced that the new deadline for the payment of property tax in Bogotá will be until June 29, it also indicated that canceling before June 24 will give citizens a 10% discount on the payment of the property.
If you want to download the invoice through the website, you must go to www.haciendabogota.gov.co and, then, click on select the box located on the right side marked “Download your invoice now”, then click on “Tax” and “Property”. Then you must choose “Document Type” and write the number without periods, without spaces and without the check digit (in the case of the NIT).
You must also enter the 'Chip' of the property, a code that consists of 11 characters, three 'AAA', four numbers and four letters, all in capital letters.
After that, click on the search option and the owner's name will appear next to an icon to print the invoice. You can then have your property tax invoice in PDF format.
The district entity mentioned that if I did not save the bill when I pressed “Search” it was possibly due to “that the Ministry of Finance does not have the owner's details, the property is new and it does not yet have a CHIP”.
In order to be able to pay property tax online, users must be previously registered at the virtual office on the website www.haciendabogota.gov.co. Then, you will need to enter the option “Virtual Office” and select the “Property Tax” box. Then click on the icon “Enter the New Virtual Office”, and enter the registered username and password (the user is the email that was registered).
After that, you must choose the option “Taxpayers” to be able to make transactions and payments, go to the top of the screen and, where it says “Billing”, select “Property Tax”, also the year “2022″ and finally click on “Search”.
The information of the properties that are registered must appear. There, you will need to click on “Download invoice”, although the option “Update data” will also appear.
Likewise, an option called “Profit 1%” will come out. To get the additional discount on checkout, you need to click on the “Activate” button. Once the authorizations have been generated, click on the “Get Discount” button and click “Continue”.
Finally, there is the option of “Payment”, the District Treasury Secretariat states on the website: “Choose this option if you want to make your payment online, with or without the voluntary contribution. Depending on the Secretariat's agreement with your financial institution, you will get different payment methods.”
For the payment of property taxes for previous years, the district authority indicated that you must enter the “Virtual Office” and register, once registered it indicates that you must enter the office with the username and password, through the “Taxpayer” option. In the tab “Inquiries” - “Outstanding obligations” and finally selecting the “Property Tax”, the value to be paid and the options to download the receipt and pay at authorized banks or make the payment online will be displayed.
