The Colombia Women's U-20 Team met Uruguay for the last date of the final home run of the South American U-20 that was held in Chile. Despite the setback suffered on the first day against Brazil, those led by Carlos Paniagua recovered in their last presentation to Venezuela.
After the last 3-0 win against Vinotinto, the Tricolor came with a great option to take the second place in the world cup of the category that will be held in August in Costa Rica.
For their part, the Charrúas came to this match with Colombia with three units resulting from a victory against Venezuela and a defeat against Canarinha.
With a draw, Colombia was enough to qualify for its second U-20 World Cup, however, the coffee makers did not want to pass through the Uruguayans.

In the first minutes of the game, Colombia imposed conditions and in the 6 minutes opened the account at the Estadio Municipal Nicolás Chahuán Nazar through Iliana Izquierdo who, after a shot that hit the pole of Mariana Reyes, the steering wheel connected the head to put the first.
When Uruguay was just beginning to assimilate the first goal, the blow would come after a maximum penalty that Juliana Viera committed to Mariana Muñoz within the penalty area. The second 45 minutes Colombia processed the match, however Uruguay had an approach after a corner kick by Wendy Carballo from the right sector that Martina Terra shot without a mark but the ball luckily for the Colombians went astray.
The first and only time that Colombia participated in a U-20 World Cup was in Germany 2010, when it played an outstanding performance after ranking fourth in the orbital event. On that occasion, the national team was part of Group A, along with Germany, France and Costa Rica.
In the debut the Colombians equalized one goal with France while their second start fell 3-1 to the locals but managed to get the ticket to the next by beating Costa Rica 3-0.
In the quarter-finals they beat Sweden 2-0 but in the semifinals they lost to Nigeria by the slightest difference and for the same result they fell for third place to South Korea.
