The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, accompanied the candidate of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) for the government of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama, to a rally in the entity.
Through her official Twitter account, the Morenista candidate thanked the president of the country's capital for “loving” the entity in the south of the country so much and assured her that “love with love is paid”, a phrase that has become popular within the cherry party.
He also assured that, in the event of winning the next victory, both would work together to consolidate in Quintana Roo, as has been done in CDMX, the Fourth Transformation.
“Thank you, my dear @Claudiashein for loving our state so much. Love with love is paid and I know that we will work together to consolidate the transformation in #QuintanaRoo and throughout Mexico,” he wrote this Sunday, April 24.
Meanwhile, Sheinbaum Pardo shared only a few words in which he assured that Lezama will be the beginning of the transformation for the state, which will be accompanied by hope.
Despite the above, the head of government was the target of criticism of Internet users because she asked permission to leave the city this Sunday 24, in order to travel to the south of the country.
This statement generated disagreement among some Twitter users who considered it unnecessary to request a day off to focus their efforts on proselytism, rather than the problems that afflict the city that leads.
In this way, his Twitter post was filled with comments with these claims: “And when will you have a day to solve or direct the problems of the city because it is a garbage dump that you are leaving this bastard?” , wrote one person.
Lack of water in certain areas, broken roads, crime and violence against women were just some of the problems mentioned in the more than a thousand comments which got the post and 800 retweets.
However, it should be noted that a large number of them referred to the collapse of Line 12 that left 26 people dead on May 3, 2021; a tragedy of which the capital's government has made little effort almost a year after the event.
Quintana Roo will hold local elections on June 5, as will six other states of the Republic, in which it will renew the Executive and Legislative Branches; however, who turns out to be the next governor will only be for five years, as it seeks to tie the next elections with the federal elections of 2027.
Likewise, the new congress of the entity will not meet the period marked by the constitution of Quintana Roo, since it will only be in force for two years to be renewed again in 2024, that is, it was approved that the entity should only have electoral processes during federal elections.
Meanwhile, the state is home to 1,857,985 citizens, of whom 1,336,790 are registered on the electoral roll and will be able to participate in the renewal of the governorship, as well as the congress which is made up of 15 deputies elected by direct vote and 10 deputations by the plurinominal channel.
In the 11 municipalities the entity will be placed 2,288 cells, of which 1,033 basic cells, 1,616 contiguous, 81 extraordinary and eight special cells.
