While Danna Paola is the face of the new generation of Mexicans succeeding in Spanish-language pop music, Belinda's merit continues to impact the Mexican entertainment world and although female rivalries are a thing of the past, at some point it was thought that there would be no collaboration between them due to alleged lack of interest, but now there is a project that could unite them as all their fans have hoped.
This great pop collaboration happened just with the theater adaptation of one of the most consecrated films by popular culture, the LGBT+ community and the critics of the seventh art: Mean Girls (Heavy Girls in its translation for Mexico and some Latin American countries). The only condition for this to happen depends on the sale of the rights to the big producer Alejandro Gou, who has already confirmed that both have agreed to be in the project to become a reality.
“I am scrubbing and scrubbing that they give me the rights, because as they were going to release the film, but I will continue to insist because as soon as they give them to me I have Danna's yes and Belinda's yes,” the producer said to various media outlets in the last performance of José El Soñador with the lead in charge of Carlos Rivera - next season it will be Kalimba who will play that role.
Although he did not specify what the protagonists who once played Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams would look like, it is expected that both could have a big dumbbell in the bet, since the producer stressed that he has a good relationship with the former Elite girl and noted that, in addition to being friends, they have worked on several theatrical projects.
“Danna and I are very close (...) Danna was with me in Today I can't get up, I consider her my friend. He is right now, thank God, at the height of his career. If there's anything going on with her and Belinda, I want to do Mean Girls. If it is given, later invite them to make lies. I don't know, there is nothing concrete, but they are always contemplated,” he concluded.
A few weeks ago, Belinda made the decision to return to her “country of origin”, - because she is also Spanish - and some media and social media users have recalled what happened with the interpreter of Oye Pablo, because of how similar the process is being, since Christian Nodal's ex-girlfriend is also leaving to train part of the cast of a Netflix series, a streaming platform that gave Danna Paola the opportunity to become a real popstar.
It is for this reason that the cameras of Ventaneando, from TV Azteca, did not hesitate to ask the actress of Dare to Dream her opinion about what was happening with the performer of El Baile del Sapito, after the great comparisons on social networks by both fans: “Well, what a father, how good. I believe that every person needs changes in his or her life. That's good, I'm very happy,” he said for Pati Chapoy's program.
The reasons for fans are linked to old feelings that exist in Mexican pop culture where female singers cannot be friends and must have public confrontations as well as an unstoppable race to see who is more successful or achieve better positions in popularity measures such as the Latin Billboard, as they have were the cases of Thalia and Paulina Rubio, Gloria Trevi and Alejandra Guzmán and even Belinda herself with the RBD Anahí.
