The controversy does not stop in the final stretch of the presidential campaign in Colombia, now one of the protagonists is Diana Osorio, the wife of the mayor of Medellín (Antioquia), Daniel Quintero, who was part of the delegation that received Francia Márquez in that city, the formula for the vice-presidency of Gustavo Francisco Petro.

Videos uploaded to social networks by followers of the leader of the Historical Pact show the accompaniment of the proselytizing event by the local first lady, who has been openly supporting this left-wing coalition. Verónica Alcocer, wife of the candidate and senator, were also present there, as well as other women who work with that community.

The controversy arises precisely when the president of the city himself asked the army commander, General Eduardo Zapateiro, to resign, who in turn is accused of breaking into the electoral contest, after criticizing Petro on Twitter for a statement made by the candidate of an alleged collusion between senior officials of that military force and drug traffickers of the Gulf Clan.

“For the sake of democracy and national stability, President Duque must call for the immediate resignation of General Zapateiro who, despite having charge of 500,000 armed men, decided to take political parties. Their participation in politics is illegal and dangerous for everyone,” Quintero published on the same social network.

Despite this, Diana Osorio accompanied the vice-presidential candidate and assured, on Blu Radio, that there are no legal impediments for her to express her support for that coalition.

“I have absolutely no disability and, of course, I am respectful of the institutions' processes and while I am in public spaces and events I don't say who I am going to vote for, but when I am in a private space, which has nothing to do with public administration, I can do it, it is absolutely legal,” they quoted in the media radio of what Osorio said.

In other videos that met on social media, Mayor Quintero's wife is seen giving a gushing welcome to Márquez.

“From Medellin and for Colombia, Francia Márquez vice-president of Colombia. Veronica, first social manager of the nation,” said the first lady of the capital of Antioquia.
