“The main channel has already been returned to us”: Kika Nieto after being hacked and losing two of her YouTube channels

On April 21, Kika Nieto's name appeared in the media because she lost two of her YouTube channels, including the official and principal, titled with her name; in addition to another channel she christened as 'Daughter of the Owner'. Why did the content creator find herself in this situation? As she herself reported from her social networks: she was hacked.

“They hacked my YouTube channel, they hacked me two of my channels. I have three: one where I upload video blogs; one called 'Daughter of the Owner', which is where I upload Christian content, and another that is called Kika Nieto, which is the main one. They hacked me both 'Daughter of the Owner' and Kika Nieto...”, were her first words on the subject.

At that time, the influencer could still access one of her accounts, even though her content was gone and had been replaced by one about cryptocurrency, which was what the hacker was sharing.

“I'm not too sure if I managed to recover it or not, but I have access to my account, that is, the hacker - we found out that it was a Russian - entered my account, removed my videos, published videos from it, was broadcasting a live stream of a cryptocurrency and changed the name of the channel, changed the photo, did what he wanted, but for some reason reason I could see everything I was doing, I had access.”

Nieto rearranged some things on his channel, without specifying which of the two he had access to. In addition to changing the password, he also put his photos and logos again. The hacker stopped in his publications, but anyway, after a few hours, both channels were removed from the Bogotana.

“The channel has already been taken away from me, the one from 'Daughter of the Owner' no longer exists, they deleted it... It's two o'clock in the morning and they just deleted my main channel too, they've already eliminated both of me,” he said at the time from his Stories on Instagram.

Kika Nieto constantly kept her followers informed about her situation, but then showed her grief when they told her that: “This morning I officially lost my YouTube channels, the mail came to me saying that they had been permanently and irreversibly deleted. Anyway, we are doing absolutely everything to try to recover them...”

Well, there was light at the end of the tunnel, and among the most recent information it was known that the content creator has already returned to her main channel. In this way, he said this Friday, April 22:

“I woke up with the news that my channel exists, it exists again, we lost two channels, one was returned to me, but it is the biggest one, they haven't told me anything about the other yet... the truth is, right now I don't have the slightest idea why God allowed what he allowed, I'm completely sure there is a purpose behind all this, in I don't know what this moment is, when I find out I'm going to tell you... I love that my YouTube channel is back, but I knew from minute one that if this didn't come back something else we were going to invent ourselves... fortunately they already gave us back the main channel.”
