A few days after the end of April, in this digital space we will announce what are the rest dates that minors in basic education will be able to enjoy during the month of May, according to the official calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
Depending on the dates, students in preschool, primary and secondary school will have a bridge and a day without school activities during the week. In addition, it should be remembered that they recently took their holiday period of Easter and will close April with a long weekend.
And it is that according to the schedule of days established by the SEP, the students enjoyed their holidays since last April 11, so they will join the daily activities starting next Monday, April 25.
Then, also in April, the last bridge of the month will be presented, which will be taken from Friday the 29th and will be postponed until Sunday, May 1.
What are the breaks in May?
According to the SEP, the first break for the little ones will be taken on Thursday, May 5, due to the commemoration of the Battle of Puebla.
While the bridge will begin on Friday, May 27, due to the traditional meeting of the Technical School Council (CTE) that both managers and teachers take on each school.
It will also be important to remember that during the fifth month of the year some special festivities or festivals are held on the 10th, to celebrate moms. This year, May 15 (Teacher's Day) will fall on a Sunday.
Meanwhile, the SEP calendar also has other mandatory rest dates as well as leave for students.
What are the rest dates for the rest of the school year?
*April
-Easter Holidays.- They started last Monday, April 11 and ended on the 22nd of the same month. The students return to the classroom next Monday, April 24.
-Friday 29.- No school activities by CTE board.
*May
-Thursday, May 5th. - Celebration of the Battle of Puebla.
-Friday 27.- Meeting of the CTE.
*June
-Friday 17.- Administrative discharge.
-Friday 24.- CTE Board.

-Friday, July 29, 2022 starts the Summer Vacation. Its conclusion will be announced until the official publication of the next school calendar 2022-2023 (20 days of vacation).
While the end of the 2021-2022 school year will end on Thursday, July 28. To date, millions of students take face-to-face classes, since the epidemiological traffic light due to COVID-19, which governs, among other things, the number of hospitalizations, is green (low risk of contagion).
In this regard, the government of Mexico City reported yesterday that sanitary measures will be eliminated in buildings, offices, educational spaces, among others. Therefore, antibacterial gel will no longer be applied, there will be no mats or temperature measurement.
However, the correct use of face masks will follow, as well as enable the flow or ventilation of natural or artificial air, as the case may be.
