After the final whistle in Cusco, Claudio Bustamante, Roberto Mosquera's assistant, made an analysis of what happened in the match on the 11th.
“It was a tough match, with the pointer, you can see that he has football arguments for which he is the leader. We had planned to keep zero and from there, to be able to create the opportunities we have and to be able to capitalize on them in the best way,” explained the member of the technical command of the 'Celestes'.
“We are very happy, because we thought we had a good match. I think that the circumstances of the match make it develop differently. We wanted to keep zero in the sense that at height the ball runs differently. The players on the home team know their court and take advantage of their climate,” he added.
For the technical assistant at Sporting Cristal, the team complied with the instructions on the pitch in detail and that led to the achievement of the objective during their visit to Cusco. “We were slightly retracted, but our intention was to stay away from our goal and we congratulate our rival. We think the score was fair, we did smart things and we solved the right way.”
In the same way, Claudio Bustamante detailed the reason for saving some of his figures for the second half: “We had very important players on the bench, like the case of Christofer Gonzales, because it gives us a lot of air when we don't have the ball. It was part of the plan to have these spare parts to maintain the result.”
Finally, the technical assistant emphasized that the win will help with emotion for the next presentations of Sporting Cristal. “There were matches that we played them quite well and the results were not accompanying us, causing frustration. Now, it definitely changes the countenance a little, because the effort of the boys is reflected. I thank Professor Roberto Mosquera for the trust and teaching,” said Bustamante.
