This weekend you should not forget the umbrella as some showers are still expected in different parts of the country, but you will also have to take your coolest clothes out of the closet as the heat wave will remain in much of the country.
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported that during this Saturday afternoon the environment will persist from hot to very hot in much of the Mexican Republic, so maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees Celsius are forecast in the states of Guerrero and Michoacán.
In addition, the thermometer will range from 35 to 40 degrees in Campeche, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Veracruz and Yucatan.
In addition, maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 degrees are expected for Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas and southern Zacatecas.
In the face of this intense hot climate, the population is recommended to take preventive measures such as avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight, getting properly hydrated, paying special attention to chronically ill patients, children and older adults, as well as following the instructions of the health and civil protection authorities.
On the other hand, very heavy rains are forecast in Chiapas; heavy rains are forecast in regions of Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosi and Tamaulipas.
Showers are also expected in areas of Campeche, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Veracruz, Yucatan and Zacateca, and isolated rains in Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Morelos, Puebla, Tabasco and Tlaxcala.
In the Valley of Mexico, partly cloudy skies are expected in the mornings with cold to cool environment mainly in high areas, warm in the afternoon, electric shocks and hail fall in rainy areas. In Mexico City, a maximum temperature of 25 to 27 degrees is forecast and in Toluca, State of Mexico, a maximum temperature of 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.
The high temperatures that occur in the country, where some regions reach up to 45 degrees Celsius and a drastic decrease in the level of rainfall in recent months in the country favor the emergence of these ecological disasters, of which 99% of the times are considered to be caused by human activity.
