Luis Urruti is a footballer who delivers everything on the court and demonstrates it week by week with Universitario de Deportes. He arrived in the 2021 season and has already won the love of many, to the point of being an idol for some. Josué Risco, a fan of the Uruguayan and player of the futsal team of people with Down Syndrome, had the pleasure of meeting him in a huge gesture of the football player 'charrúa'.

On December 16, it was revealed that the 'creams' historically became the first Peruvian club with a team for people with down syndrome in the sport of Futsal. This “with the firm intention of promoting inclusion and values in sport”, as was read on its official website after the announcement.

The representatives started preseason work on January 4th and since then have been preparing for the next challenges. Some of them have worn the shirt of the Peruvian national team and have defended it in tournaments such as the Copa America of Futsal Down. It is important to note that, in addition to the main team, there is also a minors division and women's division.

Among these players is Josué Risco, who confessed that his idol of the professional team of 'creams' was Uruguayan Luis Urruti. “I want to be just like Luis Urruti, number 11. He is the best, I want to have his attitude and goals,” he confessed in a recent interview with DirecTV Peru, where he also said that he wanted his signature and to know him as “his favorite player”.

With this 2022, Luis Urruti will complete three seasons with Universitario de Deportes.

The meeting took place on February 14. Luis Urruti left the concentration hotel of the 'creams' and Josué Risco, his sister and mother, waited outside. The footballer greeted everyone and gave a big hug with the also representative 'merengue', who brought a gift to the Uruguayan. Secondly, the 'charrúa' gave him a shirt of his autographed, of course number 11, the one Josué was waiting for so much.

THERE WAS ALREADY A TOURNAMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME

The Colectivo 21 Peru, with support from the Peruvian Football Federation, organized in 2020 a tournament for athletes with down syndrome at the Sports Complex of the University of Lima, where six teams were present and the winner was Draw FC. In addition, they were awarded a diploma of honor for having excelled in the competition.

The Uruguayan will complete his third season with Universitario de Deportes this 2022. He arrived in 2020 and since then he has had 51 matches with the 'creams' between Liga 1 and Copa Libertadores. He has scored 11 goals and six assists, with the end of 2021 and the start of 2022 being his best moments with the 'merengues', a stage where Gregorio Pérez greatly influenced his game and confidence.
