The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) updated this Saturday the tabulator of maximum prices for LP Gas (liquefied petroleum) that private fuel distributors will have to handle throughout the country from the first minute of this Sunday, April 24 and until next Saturday, April 30.

Rates vary depending on the municipality of each state and, according to the Federal Government, the objective of the regulation is to control prices and “prevent corporate abuses” in the face of inflation.

For the sixth consecutive week, fuel continues to decline in most states of the country, after it was shot around the world at the end of last February due to the invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine.

The national average of fuel sold per kilogram was set at 25.18 pesos, while per liter was 13.60 pesos.

It should be remembered that it was in July 2021 that the national average cost reached its highest level of the year and caused this “regulation”, registering at 25.90 pesos per kilogram, which means that the current cost is only 72 cents lower than it was then.
