The nonsense of Johnny Knoxville and his cronies always have something else to show and they have already shown this with all their previous installments that, at the time, promised to end this franchise and didn't do it after all. After the premiere of Jackass Forever, a new installment titled Jackass 4.5 lands to bring back the ridiculous acrobatics, punches and near-death experiences of the team specializing in turning pain into extreme fun.

Netflix shared a sneak peek of the version with extra content and confirmed that it will arrive on May 20 in its catalog. In the clip, the members of the group are shown swinging while three of them are standing and wearing animal costumes. Obviously, no one will leave this activity unharmed by this activity that proposes more bruises for its protagonists.

“Get ready for more stunts and stupid things with Jackass 4.5, a completely new feature film with the whole team!” , said the giant of the “N” in the caption of the publication. “Here is a small taste of what to expect when it premieres on May 20 on Netflix... This is the gauntlet of the swings!” , he added in reference to the “game” seen on screen.

Since 2007 (when Jackass 2.5 was released), Jackass's film productions have resulted in sequels made from discarded shots and accidents that failed to survive the director's cut. Many times it is those unexpected situations that cause more laughter in the audience than those that really planned to be filmed within the script, so Johnny Knoxville takes advantage of what was not seen to launch another part of the saga.

The follies of Jackass on TV and film

At the beginning of this century, there were still lags behind what was the golden age of the MTV channel. It was in 2000 that a comedy format created by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze, Jeff Tremaine and Bam Margera was released. They called him Jackass, in reference to the term “idiot” in English. The program consisted of a group of young people engaged in extremely dangerous and painful activities aimed at making the audience laugh. It aired for three seasons and, in parallel, has grown as a film series from 2001 to the present day.

The original cast members were Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, Preston Lacy, Jason WeeMan Acuna, Ryan Dunn, Dave England and Ehren McGhey. The original actors remained until Jackass Forever except for Dunn, who died in 2011, and Margera after being fired in the middle of the production (although their recorded scenes were included).
