“Clan La Rosada” falls, a criminal gang that kidnapped a child under 14 to sexually exploit her

Peruvian National Police, managed to find the whereabouts of this organization, made up of 5 transsexuals operating in the district of Villa El Salvador.

The case of little Damaris, evidenced a tough problem facing our country after the increase in kidnappings of minors. This time, a 14-year-old girl was captured by a criminal organization, dedicated to this modality called “El Clan La Rosa”.

The minor was taken with lies from her home and then placed in a room where she was forced to have sexual relations with different men. According to the mother's information, the teenager had been missing for more than 15 days. After following in his daughter's footsteps, he was able to know her whereabouts, so he didn't hesitate for a second to go and rescue her.

Despite the fact that the police have not provided many details of this case, it was revealed through some officers that once rescued, the teenager was taken to the police station in the district of Villa El Salvador where she revealed the nightmare she had lived during this time in the hands of this criminal organization made up of five transsexuals.

After learning about the case and the location of the house where the abducted school was being held, the investigative police staged a surprise operation and were able to intervene with Jafet Campos Sánchez 'Casanova' (19), Junior Bengolea Ponce 'Estefany' (21), Jefry Ramos Asencio 'Blas' (19), Luis Pereyra Corilla 'Luisa' (18) and Adrián Ayala Contreras 'La Rosada' (18), who would be the leader of the band, according to the aggrieved party.

She was the one who rented the room, took care of making calls to customers and charged for sexual services. When the police arrived at the house, designated as the space where these crimes were committed, were able to seize cell phones where this gang kept their clients' numbers.

The victim told the authorities that she was abused by five subjects. He also stated that Adrián Ayala was responsible for contacting persons with whom he would sexually exploit the minor.

It was also known that female detainees will be reported for the crimes of trafficking in persons and kidnapping.

TAKE INTO ACCOUNT

The former Deputy Minister of Public Security, Ricardo Valdés, warned that the abduction of minors is not always intended to demand an economic ransom, but rather is related to trafficking in persons or the purchase and sale of children.

He explained that one of the ways criminals capture teenagers is through social media. They distort their identities, seduce them and exchange images of sexual content and then extort them (crime of online sexual exploitation). “Many times it has been found that this process of extortion ends in a process of recruitment, disappearance and abduction to make her a victim of human trafficking,” he said to El Comercio.

In turn, lawyer Fernanda Bobadilla, from the Linares study, told the media outlet, that the crime of kidnapping is punishable by a penalty of not less than 20 years, and when the victim is a minor or older than 70 years, he reaches life imprisonment.

In the case of trafficking in persons, he added, it is punishable by a sentence ranging from 8 to 15 years. If the victim is between 14 and 18 years of age, he is 12 to 20 years old, and if he is under 14 years of age, the penalty is not less than 25 years of imprisonment.
