Victoria Justice stars in A Perfect Pairing, an upcoming Netflix original comedy that mixes a taste for wine and an unexpected romance. The American actress, best known for her role in Victorious, embarks on an adventure in Australia in which a woman leaves her stable, well-paid job to pursue the dream of opening her small company dedicated to distributing wines.
The streaming service recently shared the official trailer in which the protagonist is seen trying to capture an important customer in Australian lands, although, without imagining it, she ends up working as another assistant in a sheep farm. It is there that you will meet Max, an unfriendly local and in charge of the place. At first they won't get along, but a friendship will grow between them until they really turn their feelings into a new love.
“Lola (Justice), a successful executive at a Los Angeles wine company, leaves her job to found her own wine distributor and travels to Australia to attract her first customer, the Vaughn family company. But unfortunately, they are not interested in a business that is just starting out. Eager to prove that she is up to the task, she offers to work as an assistant at the Vaughns' sheep farm. Although at first she doesn't seem to be cut out for the hard work of repairing fences and herding sheep, she learns with the handsome local manager, Max (Adam Demos), with whom she forms a friendship. And, as they get to know each other, Lola discovers that Australia is much more than her passion for entrepreneurship... it is the new love for Max. But will Max's secrets prevent him from reaping what he sowed sentimentally?” , is read in the official synopsis of the film.
A Perfect Pairing is directed by Stuart McDonald (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and the script is credited by Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy, the scriptwriter duo behind Guaranteed Love and Love in Works (also produced by Netflix). This time, the premise takes us to the beautiful landscapes of Australia with situations of — and clichés — of romantic comedies and a nod to lovers of wine culture.
