Video of street dweller playing greedy becomes trend: “Wonderful times”

On social networks, the video of a security camera has gone viral where the moment when a street dweller, who was traveling on a public road, set out to play greedy, the traditional Colombian game for children, was recorded.

The images, which were shared via Twitter by a journalist who resides in Bucaramanga, caused nostalgia in hundreds of users because, when they observed that the man saw the sweet tooth and immediately abandoned the items he was carrying to play, many had memories of his childhood.

“I don't deny it I would have done the same thing,” commented one netizen, referring to the fact that he would also have left out what he was doing to play. Although the city where the video was shot is unknown, the images did not prevent hundreds of Colombians from experiencing moments of nostalgia.

Although nostalgia and longing for old times were some of the feelings that prevailed among Colombians when watching the video, the rules of the game did not go unnoticed by them.

It should be remembered that the sweet tooth is a game in which twelve squares are drawn with chalk on the ground, which represent “a path” from earth to heaven, and which each member of the team must cross without stepping on the stripes or the square where the stone is, which is thrown before starting the dynamic.

In this regard, some netizens indicated that the man lost the game after he stepped on one of the lines of the 12 squares drawn. “Very chimba and everything, but floor raya and lost”, “Step on the line, that was the discussions. Too bad there was no VAR!” , “Lost xq stepped on the line”, were some comments from users of the social network.

In recent months, a recording shared on social networks, which has as protagonists a police officer from the city of Medellín and a street dweller, also moved hundreds of Colombians. This is a video released by the mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, on January 26, where a uniformed man is seen sharing his lunch with a visually impaired man.

In a dialogue with RCN Radio, the patrolman Valencia said that, for almost two years, he met 'Ómar', the street dweller with him he shares his lunch practically daily and with whom, he assured, he has formed a friendship.

According to the radio station El Uniformado, he met Ómar while he was patrolling through some streets in downtown Medellín. The man's status as a street dweller, to which he is blind, moved the policeman so he decided to bring him food as many times as he could.

“I have a friendship and an empathy with this person who has a limitation because he is blind. Let's add the issue of drug addiction”, patrolman Valencia told the same media outlet, adding:

The story that went viral, was described by netizens as an action that “should be exalted”. “A true angel, God protect him”, “This policeman is an extraordinary human being”, “That man should be in a secretary of social integration or something like that” and “They should appoint him director general of the police”, were some of the comments that netizens left in the video.
