The Colombia Women's team that participates in the South American U-20 defeated the Venezuelan national team on the second date of the final phase. The match ended 3-0 with a double by Gisella Robledo and another by Ingrid Guerra. The coffee makers are aiming to take one of the two spots for the World Cup that will be held in August in Costa Rica.
The result left the Vinotinto team with no chance of reaching the orbital event, while Colombia was left with the first chance, behind Brazil, to win the World Cup quota. The first place remains the 'canarinha' who has won its two matches, against Colombia 3-0 and against Uruguay 1-0, so it is the favorite for the title and therefore to represent Conmebol.
The final match of the Colombia team will be against Uruguay at the Nicolás Chahuán stadium in La Calera, Chile. The draw is enough for Colombia to be in the second place of the championship after adding four units, having a goal difference of 0 but having more goals scored, third tiebreaker item according to the championship regulations.
A victory for the 'coffee makers' could put them to fight for the title, as long as Venezuela beats Brazil and Colombia outweighs their Uruguay counterpart with a difference of four goals. The defeat does not suit Colombia because the 'charruas' would beat them in points, relegating them to the third square and with no chance of going to the world championship.
The figure of the current under-20 women's team is Gisella Robleda. The Tenerife player from Spain has five goals in the championship, three scored in the group stage, against Venezuela, Peru and Chile, and the other two against the 'vinotinto' team. Other outstanding players are Ingrid Guerra, scorer for Deportivo Cali who scored the second goal in the last match, and Gabriela Rodríguez, a player from América de Cali who has just qualified for the U-17 World Cup after finishing second place for the South American in the category.
The first goal of the match came in the 36th minute after a solo overflow of María Camila Reyes on the left wing that left Gisela Robledo totally free. The Tenerife attacker only had to push left-handed the first goal of the night and peace of mind for those led by Carlos Paniagua.
Colombia widened the scoring differences in the second half after a brilliant right to place unstoppable by Ingrid Guerra. In the 70th minute the tricolor team gained confidence and that goal gave him the illusions he needed to get his first three points in the home run.
When everything seemed finished, the goal of tranquility came to improve Colombia's goal difference. Gisela Robledo emerged after receiving a pass from Juana Ortegón and eluding the goalkeeper of the vinotinto defined without angle the goal of the final rout at the Nicolás Chahuán Stadium in La Calera, Chile.
