America Hoy host Janet Barboza has fiercely criticized Aldo Miyashiro for to have been unfaithful to his wife Érika Villalobos. The images of the host of La Banda del Chino kissing Fiorella Retiz, the show's former reporter, have caused the indignation of various figures in the show, including that of the popular 'Rulitos'. Oscar del Portal has not been spared from the strong comments against him either.
But Barboza's position has not been liked by Magaly Medina, who decided to recall a little-known passage in the life of the host of América Televisión. “In 2005, Janet revealed to Peru that she had a 6-year relationship with which Federico Anchorena was the manager of Panamericana and ATV. And at that time, he was publicly a married man with two children, living in his wife's house,” he said.
Although 'Rulitos' has not come out to defend herself against Medina's statements, it is important to note that Janet did admit in the past that she became romantically involved with a married man. This happened in 2019, when it was presented in The Value of Truth, a program then hosted by Beto Ortiz and which awarded a prize of 50,000 soles to participants who answered 20 uncomfortable questions honestly.
THE QUESTION
“Have you ever been a married man's lover?” , was the sixth question Janet received on the show, to which she answered “yes” in front of the eyes of her partner, Miguel Bayona. Her answer was validated as “true” by the polygraph; however, the driver disagreed with the label “lover” and explained that she did not consider herself to be “the other”.
“I'm uncomfortable with the word... I was dating a person who, in that particular case, couldn't get divorced. He was separated, but the problem comes from the issue of property, which he had together (with his wife) as part of his marriage. What's more, I understand he's still separated, but he never got divorced. It's practical, but it's his subject,” he justified.
Barboza also indicated that he would never get into a marriage at the expense of the family's happiness. “If I were given the opportunity to like someone who is at home, with his wife and children, or without children, it's something I couldn't do. I respect the family theme very much. I wouldn't want to do what I wouldn't want them to do to me,” said Janet Barboza.
