The official account of the deputies of the Democratic Revolution Party (PR) bench on Twitter was hacked and messages appeared in which they allegedly acknowledged having received bribes from the Iberdrola company to vote against the electricity reform of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Hello. We work for the PRD deputies and we know that Iberdrola gave them mochada in cash. And they don't even pay us that way” said one of the messages from the alleged collaborators of that party.

Minutes later, the national leadership of the Aztec sun spoke out against these attacks and condemned that the campaign of slander and smear is now transferring it to digital.

Another alleged message from those who manage social networks read: On behalf of the network team of the PRD deputies, we apologize to Mexico for what our bosses did. They sold the homeland for suitcases of cash and they don't even pay us.

These messages were disseminated by several legislators of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), who posted the screenshots on their respective profiles and applauded the courage of the staff who manage these social accounts.

“The advisers are also people and they repudiate betrayals,” wrote Morena's secretary general, Citlalli Hernández, who replied these messages on her Twitter profile and insisted that those who voted against the presidential initiative on electricity are “traitors to the country.”

Once their Twitter account was recovered, the parliamentary group of the Peruvian parliamentary group posted the following message: “They don't win the political debate and now they want to intimidate us with hacks. The tweets issued a few minutes ago from the @GPPRDmx account are fake.”

Another member of Morena's bench that exhibited the messages in the Aztec sun account was Andrea Chávez, one of the emerging figures of the fourth Transformation movement.

“Let no one be left without seeing what was published and deleted from the official website of the PRD federal deputies a few minutes ago,” stressed the federal deputy for Ciudad Juárez.

Legislators from the Going for Mexico coalition filed a complaint with the Office in Mexico of the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Morena's “hate campaign” against the deputies who voted against Andrés's electricity reform project on Sunday, April 17 Manuel Lopez Obrador.

The Morena leadership and the President of the Republic himself have insisted on considering the legislators of PAN, PRD, PRI and MC as “traitors to the country”, so they launched a nationwide campaign to publicize the names of each deputy and deputy who did not vote last Sunday.

At a press conference in front of the Office of the High Commissioner, the deputies who presented the document to the international organization trusted that the complaint will be handed over to Michelle Bachelet, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as they consider that the opposition is being persecuted by President López Obrador and his supporters.

They argued that by their “violent” behaviors and speeches, the Chief Executive and National Regeneration Movement are violating article 20 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which states that “any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law”.
