The week began with a new scandal involving senator-elect Piedad Córdoba, who is accused of having met with drug traffickers pending for being extradited in La Picota prison in Bogotá. The congresswoman assured that she went to the place only to visit her brother, Freddy Córdoba, but on April 21 a document was released that would prove that she had had contact with the extraditable.

This is an entrance ticket to La Picota, which would be the formal permission for Cordoba to enter the place. The document refers to the senator's visit, but does not indicate that she asked to see her brother. The request is only to interview Juan Carlos Cuesta, alias of Gordo Rufla, a renowned drug trafficker and member of the Gulf Clan, who is pending being extradited to the United States.
