The Peruvian national team already has two confirmed matches for the month of June: the first will be a friendly of preparation in Spain and the second an official FIFA match for the passage to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The first outing of the 'white-red', with only a few selected ones and mostly from the local media, will be to Barcelona on May 28. There he will have the first match on May 5th from 10:30 a.m. (Peruvian time) at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona, a complex where the Real Club Deportivo Espanyol plays the venue for its various domestic and international tournaments. It will be two days of work to get ready for the repechage, to be played on June 13, 2022 at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium or Education City, both with capacity for 40,000 spectators. YOTÚN TALKED ABOUT THE REPECHAGE
As soon as the friendly match of the Peruvian national team was confirmed, Yoshimar Yotún was consulted by the rival. Sporting Cristal's steering wheel welcomes New Zealand and is confident that the match will be auspicious ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoff in Qatar.
“We have already faced them in the repechage (last) and now it will be a team that will bring us a lot. The important thing is that it serves us, we can raise what the 'teacher' wants and that will be important. We will have to take advantage of it, because I think it will be the only match for the repechage,” said 'Yoshi' for the cameras of América Deportes.
PERU UNDEFEATED AGAINST NEW ZEALAND
It will not be the first time that Peru will play against the 'Kiwis', because it did so in the international repechage for the Russia 2018 World Cup. On that occasion, the 'bicolor' drew without goals as a visitor and at the National Stadium in Lima closed its qualification with a 2-0 win. Jefferson Farfan in the first half and Christian Ramos in the second half scored the goals of the engagement.
