Given the improvement in the numbers of hospitalizations due to COVID-19, as well as a low positivity index, the government of Mexico City took the decision to apply some modifications in some establishments.

In addition, Eduardo Clark García, director general of Digital Government of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation of the CDMX, announced that due to the general improvement in the City, health measures will be eliminated.

“As of Monday, April 25, sanitary measures for the entry of people to commercial establishments, government and private offices, as well as cultural, educational or any other facility will be lifted.”

In this way, it will be avoided taking temperature or applying antibacterial gel or spraying with spray on the body or belongings before entering any space or establishment.

However, according to the director of ADIP, the correct use of masks in closed spaces will be maintained for anyone and natural ventilation will be privileged or, where appropriate, follow the artificial ventilation guidelines.

According to statistics, the number of hospitalized patients in Mexico City is 133 to date.

“We are still falling in the number of positives at a slower rate, but we are with a figure of 30 positives a day,” he said.

Regarding the positivity figures, Clark García said that there is a trend of stability and there is no rebound at all.

Meanwhile, with the intention of completing the vaccination schedule for hundreds of people, as well as applying the first or second dose to young people, the government of Mexico City announced how the National Vaccination Plan will work, which will open more venues.

According to Eduardo Clark, anyone who misses the first, second or third booster may go to the vaccination centers.

This is the application of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which will be universally contemplated to all people, regardless of the vaccine they have taken before.

In this way, Clark García recalled that all citizens, regardless of the mayor's office to which they belong, will be able to go to any of the places where they will be vaccinated until April 30.

He even revealed that the City government will be operating under a “good faith” procedure, that is, they will not be asking for any document that proves when or where the citizen was previously vaccinated.
