Debanhi Escobar: this is the area where they found a body inside a sewer

Mario Escobar, father of Debanhi Escobar, told a journalist in the area that the Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León (FGE) located a body inside the Nueva Motel Castilla, very close to the area where they took the last photograph of Debanhi Escobar.

For its part, the Prosecutor's Office reported in a statement that together with the agents of the Sonora Prosecutor's Office, they located an abandoned cistern, where the body of a woman was identified.

They also added that due to the conditions in which the site of the find is located “at this time it is not possible to establish general characteristics of the lifeless person”, but they would make them known at the end of the corresponding examinations.

For his part, the Prosecutor of Nuevo León gave an interview with Foro Tv in which he warned that the last recording they have about Debanhi is located approximately 300 meters from the hotel.

This was one of the reasons why they would not have come to check that area, since the security cameras of the property do not have any recordings, and they only use them to carry out live monitoring during the 24 hours.

On the other hand, he announced that it was a grave that had not been checked before, since in recent days they went to a cistern near the area, belonging to the hotel, where they found nothing.

This, on the other hand, is located near the pool area of the motel, but it is an area that was considered abandoned, so it has not been monitored for a long time.

In the surroundings there are only trees, walls and a restaurant that stands out within the building. An empty pool can be identified through the location by Google Maps.

The Nueva Castilla Motel is located in the area where the last photograph of the victim was taken by a taxi driver by application that left it on the Monterrey-Laredo highway, the same place where it was captured by one of his cameras, which gave information about his alleged admission to a transport company.

On the other hand, the prosecutor assured that the next step to take, after requesting the assistance of the Civil Protection of Nuevo León, was to remove the body with attention to all the protocols for the protection of the victim.

He would then be transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo), where he would be given the necessary tests, by experts in genetics, and finally, possibly during the night, the results of the analysis would be presented.

She added that her relatives could previously identify the rescued body through some special or birthmark, and even by the clothes she was wearing the day she was reported missing, but they could not take it for granted until they had the corresponding analysis.

The authorities managed to get out after midnight, and he was transferred. So far, neither the authorities nor the family have given a new version of the facts.

The body was discovered hours after the announcement of the collaboration of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Sonora in the case, which specializes in cases of disappearance, since they have been accompanying search groups in the entity for years.
