It's been three weeks since Christian Nodal's concert was canceled. In the last few hours, the organizers of the event revealed that they will only deliver 20% of the value of each ticket arguing that the concert did take place, except for the presentation of the Mexican.
And yes, the band MS, Jerry Rivera, Jessi Uribe, John de la Torre, DJ Agudelo 888, Luis Alfonso and DJ Morro passed through the stage, so according to information from Semana, which cites the company Alive Productions, this decision was made after an agreement reached between those involved, ensuring that 20% corresponds to the value of the “right to assistance, which is proportional to the service provided by the organizers”.
Alive Productions also announced that the refund of the money is conditional on a data verification, since attendees must demonstrate, with documents, the purchase of the ticket: name, ID and email of the buyer; channel through which the purchase was made; details of tickets and location purchased; copy of the transaction or means of payment, and the bank account of the holder of the purchase.
“Accepted returns will be made only to persons who prove the above (sic)” assured the producer as cited in Semana.
(or that it was half-hearted, according to its organizers)
On March 26, Mexican singer Christian Nodal had an appointment with his followers in the city of Medellín, where they were eagerly waiting for him to listen to his musical hits, regardless of the weather or time; but the musician never appeared on stage and then sent a message of apology arguing that for different reasons related to the flights had not been able to land in the capital of Antioquia, so the show would be canceled.
“Today it is impossible for me to be there to sing to them, today I have been trying to get to 'Medallo' (Medellín) in every possible way and I couldn't. I took two different planes, there were technical failures and the weather was not in our favor. I hope you understand that this got out of our hands,” he said in the video, widely disseminated on social networks.
What happened upset the people who had stood in line, had endured the rain and had waited for hours for Nodal to appear, so they demanded that they give them an answer about their ballots and money, moreover, because they commented that the organizers did not announce the artist's absence in time.
“The doors were going to open it at 4 in the afternoon and that didn't happen. It was 7 o'clock in the evening and people were still coming in. Some DJs played, then it started to rain, Jerry Rivera came out, the band MS that played like 90 minutes and finally Jessi Uribe. It was 2:20 in the morning and the whole box began to vacate (sic). Nodal did not arrive,” said one of the attendees of the failed concert in an interview with the newspaper El Tiempo.
So on March 27, Nodal came out once again and assured that he would return all the money to his followers, understanding that he did not fulfill his commitment.
“From the bottom of my heart, I know that words don't change things, I know money doesn't change things either, but for my part I'm not going to keep any penny of what I've been paid for that show and I'm going to give it back completely,” said the Mexican singer, adding: “I hope that businessmen will look for a way to compensate my audience Colombian for all this that happened and I repeat these things had never happened to me in my career”.
