Last December, influencer, businessman and youtuber Carlos Máster Muñoz announced his departure from social media. The speaker, who had been entangled in the controversy for some actions of his past, such as humiliating a waiter who was at a conference he gave, announced through a video that he would disappear from social networks indefinitely.
Muñoz pointed out that the controversial comments that went viral had been part of a character, and therefore, he did not identify with them. However, he stated that his goal “has been achieved”.
“There has come a time to stop along the way and see where we want to go. When we started our idea, it was very simple, to create a communication channel that would help us shout to the four winds that it can be undertaken and thus empower thousands of entrepreneurs. That goal has been achieved”, he said in the audiovisual material, which he titled Until Pronto.
In addition, Master Muñoz described his character as disruptive, offensive, frivolous and superficial, as well as indicating that he does not have a certain date for his return to social networks because in his absence he will have a “long process of introspection”.
Later, the influencer would return to the networks in February, and it was also through a video that he announced it. In an interview for Roberto Martínez's Creativo podcast, the businessman pointed out that he had moved away from the networks because he had been poorly advised. “I think I was very badly advised in handling my public image stumbles, very badly advised (...) I am very ill-advised (...) I am very ill-advised to meet with advisors, I chose the wrong advisors, they took me to the wrong paths, in the management of the crisis, both in the situation of the debate with Diego (Ruzzarini), and when the crisis with Gil (waiter) went viral , both of them, were moments that were exacerbating this whole crisis, they were very badly handled on my part,” he explained in the interview.
Muñoz stands out for being a controversial person, since there have been several occasions he has given him something to talk about. On his social networks, the entrepreneur often shares content, such as videos and images. In one of the videos posted on his Facebook page, Muñoz mentions the wealthiest person in Mexico, and one of the richest in the world: Carlos Slim fit.
In a video entitled Carlos Slim does not comply, published in November 2019, Muñoz is seen in one of his conferences, with several people. In this one, a woman is heard talking to the influencer.
“The problem I saw with companies, very strong, is absenteeism and turnover, companies come with me very worried because productivity is very low, because people are missing (...) and they leave, that is, retention is minimal, so the question is, what can I do to make entrepreneurs realize that they have to invest in people?” , says the woman.
Faced with this, Muñoz responds that “I'm going to separate you so much from that, because you're absolutely right and then you're absolutely right; you're absolutely right because this is a game of leaders (...) the novice of business, his question is what business are you going to put in, those who really know business, the question is who is going to operate that business, leaders, so if you ask me I spend a hell of a lot of money on evaluations of leaders, on hires of leaders, on leaders, down there, the minions , they are going to have a disgusting turnover and I honestly don't want to invest there because it's not part of the business,” says Muñoz.
“Speaking of leaders, I think your speech should be: let's see company, this is a game of leaders, I'm going to make you a system to pull leaders, to create leaders, and we are going to get you to retain the leaders who are going to be responsible for operating all the extra part of the organization,” says the influencer.
Later, he says he will talk about the other workers. “Let's talk about minions, because the problem then is, hey and what do you ask for minions, absenteeism and this, and whatever you want (...) you must get companies to talk to them about leadership, not minions, but hey, did the guys who need minions talk to you, what are you going to tell them? very simple, we need a better value proposition to the employee, this is a game of a thing called EVP, Employee Value Proposition, just as there is a value proposition to the customer, which is the CVP, there is a value proposition to the employee that is the EVP.
