Former mayor of Medellín Luis Alfredo Ramos reacted on Thursday to the Supreme Court's decision not to accept his appeal for the parapolitics conviction against him. The former official will have to comply with the sentence imposed on him for the crime of concert in order to commit an offense in order to promote illegal armed groups.
“With deep indignation and with great pain I receive an unfair ruling, in which crime triumphed,” wrote the former governor of Antioquia on Twitter. Ramos noted that the High Court has “no evidence” and relied on “testimonies of recognized false witnesses.”
