Toñita confirmed that in a few days she will sign a contract with Televisa and there will be no official reunion of the first generation of La Academia where she participates, as she revealed that she was not called in by TV Azteca to participate in this project.
In a short meeting with the press on the outskirts of Televisa's facilities, Toñita confessed that this month he will sign a contract with the Ázcarraga company and thanked having job offers in this television station, because he assured that the competition did not call her because, as he said, “I am not relevant to them”.
That is why the reporters brought up the fact that in the coming months will be celebrated the 20th anniversary of the first program of La Academia and the public was hoping that some of the graduates would be part of the celebration or that there would be a reunion, but the fact that Toñita will sign with Televisa may affect this.
However, the singer revealed that she is in the same situation as Lolita Cortés and, if TV Azteca had wanted the reunion to finally be real, they would have called them all for a long time, but it didn't happen and now she is looking for job opportunities in companies where she knows they will give her work.
“They didn't do it, if they were the ones who created all this and they don't want to call us, it's not about us, you know? It's a matter of them. You have to look for it,” he said, confirming that the reunion of the first generation will not take place.
In addition, she mentioned that she cannot be called “ungrateful” for having looked for a job in the competition of TV Azteca, the television station that brought her the fame she has today, because she would never have offered her any project and she must get ahead.
Now that Toñita will sign a contract with Televisa, she mentioned that her goal is to continue working and striving to maintain her career, but also so that later the Ajusco television station looks for her and she can afford to refuse her job offers.
“What you have to do is go, look for, knock on doors, lock hard and want it, so that later they look for you and send them through a tube,” he said with a laugh.
Although there will be no official reunion, she said that some of her former colleagues and her will meet in July to celebrate 20 years of having met and triumphed at La Academia, but it will be a private celebration.
Lolita Cotes, one of the most beloved judges on the reality show because of how stark her criticism of students was, also confessed that she was not called to participate in the 20th anniversary of The Academy.
