On April 20, El Dorado International Airport inaugurated the employment portal of the airport community “Pistas de Opportunidades”. According to the air terminal, the objective of this initiative is to facilitate the search for employment by communities neighboring the air terminal.

Andrés Ortega, General Manager of Opain, said the job portal will benefit people who live near the airport.

“The Pista de Oportunidades portal demonstrates how El Dorado works to create relevant connections with our neighbors and the environment in which we operate. We are proud to deliver this news today, as we know that it is the beginning of an initiative created to transform and leverage the personal and professional development of communities neighboring El Dorado”

The initiative is focused on motivating the rational use of means of transport, positively impacting mobility in the city, and reducing the carbon footprint.

In addition to the 24 companies that have been linked to this initiative, Pista de Oportunidades has had the support of the local mayors of Engativá and Fontibon, and Municipal de Funza.

The portal has been on the air for three weeks and is in the initial stage of registration by companies and registration of resumes by the neighbors of Fontibon, Engativa and Funza 24 registered companies in the airport community, publishing vacancies.

U.S. Embassy

The U.S. Embassy in Colombia, located in Bogotá, announced that it has opened a new call for jobs for national or foreign professionals who meet all the requirements requested, particularly, living in the country's capital.

Through its website, the embassy reported that the offers available are for face-to-face work for nursing positions, human resources assistants and administrative employees, whose salaries range from 75 to 163 million pesos per year, that is, that the monthly minimum wage would be 6 million pesos.
