A man was linked to trial for his probable responsibility for the commission of the crime against health in the mode of transport of cocaine hydrochloride.
Through the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO), a district judge based in Jalisco obtained the link to trial against John “B”, who was arrested on April 5 at Peñitas beach, in the town of Campo Acosta, in the municipality of Tomatlán, Jalisco.
He was arrested by elements of the Mexican Secretariat of the Navy-Navy (SEMAR) while on board a vessel carrying 1,222 packages with a total weight of 1,435.52 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
Subsequently, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), attached to the Specialized Unit for Investigation of Crimes Against Health (UEIDCS), submitted the evidence to the federal judge, who decided to link John “B” to trial for the aforementioned crime.
Informal pre-trial detention was established as a precautionary measure in the Puente Grande Prison Complex, and three months were granted for further investigation.
