This Wednesday, April 20, activist Juana Ovando de los Santos was murdered in Xalapa, Veracruz, while alive she was identified as a defender of women's rights and belonged to the youth movement of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PR).
The murder was lamented by the State Steering Committee of the PRI Veracruz and by Alejandro Moreno, president of the party, who dedicated a few words in memory of Ovando de los Santos.
“I find out with indignation the death of Juana Ovando de los Santos, a young PRI woman who fought and raised her voice to demand an end to violence against women. To his family my deepest condolences. To the authorities my demand to find the person responsible. Rest in peace”
