The cooks of 'MasterChef Celebrity' suffered the unexpected departure of Pamela Ospina after going through a difficult elimination challenge where beef tongue was the protagonist, in addition to Aco Pérez, who was reluctant to say goodbye to the comedian Paisa.
Now without Pamela, the celebrities had to continue with the competition that, in each episode, shows that she is more fierce. An example of this was the challenge of 'the mystery box' held this Wednesday night, and Claudia Bahamón foresaw some of the proteins that cooks should handle by asking Tatán Mejia if he would like to work with worms, to which he reacted with disgust. By the way, he confessed that he has a phobia of these animals.
Precisely, when they opened the box, the famous people found paintings that pointed to several regions of the country: the Santanderes, the Amazon, Nariño and the eastern plains, represented in the goat -typical of South Santander and with which pepitoria is prepared-, the mojojoy (worms); the guinea pig and veal meat, respectively.
And as expected, Tatán had to make a dish with several worms, showing an obvious expression of disgust, because they were still alive.
The chefs told them how to prepare each protein, especially the guinea pig, because they could run the risk of some parts being raw or overcooked, not to mention the mojojoy, since the mojojoy must have its head removed before handling it. Thus, everyone had three minutes to go to the pantry and choose their ingredients, and another 60 minutes to create a dish that would surprise the experts.

After the deadline, and after seeing that the motorcyclist had trouble making his dish and that Ramiro Meneses gave several flashes of creativity when Jorge Rausch passed through his space, there were few calls to the lectern to be judged by the chefs.
The reward? A benefit that will be reflected later. In this challenge there were no immunity pins let alone black aprons.
Only four cooks were called to advance to the lectern, and the first of them was Aida Bossa, who presented 'A momojoy in San Stanislao de Kostka', which was made by a typical Bolivar dish called 'cat head', some cooked and a third on the plate, fried. Although Rausch did not hesitate to throw flowers, Nicolás reproached a detail that, in the actress, went unnoticed.
“The hogao is so good that there is very little,” said the Cartagenero, and Chris Carpentier agreed with his verdict. Isabella, on the other hand, presented a 'Goat flower', made with an outer layer of cornmeal and pepper, but Nicolás thought it was too spicy and his expressions at the time of tasting confirmed it.
Carlos was the third to be evaluated at the discretion of the Chilean chef. To the lectern he carried a plate named 'Uy, don't put me on this', made up of a kind of cannelloni made of veal. Jorge Rausch gave him a good verdict by adding his typical squeeze on the cheek as a sign that the food tasted good.
“You can plot Chris -Carpentier-... and me too sometimes,” said the Bogota chef after the tasting.
Finally, Ramiro advanced to the front with his guinea pig prepared in a very creative way. As 'Once upon a time' his creation was named, and although Rausch applauded his creativity, he questioned the container in which he placed a sauce, which ended up being a consommé.
With all that, the verdict was that Carlos Báez won the test and will have access to a benefit in an upcoming challenge.
