With the approval of the reform to the Mining Law on April 19, criticism has continued against the decisions taken by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
Much has been said about the nationalization of lithium, arguing that the mineral was actually monopolized or that it has been nationalized instead of nationalized, since as such, article 27 of the constitution protects minerals and resources within the national territory.
The reform, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on the morning of this Wednesday, establishes that the mineral will be used only by the Mexican state and no concessions, licenses, contracts, permits or authorizations will be granted for its exploitation if it is not of a national nature.
Therefore, several critics have argued that this was a more than unnecessary measure. In the same way, the panist Manuel Clouthier spoke against the government calling itself the Fourth Transformation (Q4).
He said that the AMLO government was the stupidest, unlike Peña Nieto's, which was characterized by its constant acts of corruption: “One of the most corrupt governments we have ever had in modern history was that of Peña Nieto, but the stupidest government is that of AMLO!!”.
He pointed out that the government has deficiencies in some aspects such as health, since he argued that his 4-month-old grandson could not be vaccinated with hexavalente because “there are no vaccination cards; there are no appointments to process passports.”
However, he stressed in a socarrón tone that “we have lithium in the subsoil”, which, when nationalized, pointed to it as a setback.
He also ironized the discussion that has taken place on social networks about the disqualifications by members of the 4Q against those who voted against the Electricity Reform, calling them “traitors of the homeland”.
“In this government of 4th. Demanding medicines, passports or appointments at the Sat, as well as that CFE modernizes and competes with those that generate clean and cheaper energy is a betrayal of the country; leaving lithium buried so that it remains Mexicans is a transformation!!” , wrote the brother of the Secretary of Economy, Tatiana Clouthier.
In the face of these allegations, netizens were not silent either, as several spoke in favor of the comment against the executive, however, there were also those who pointed out that his sister Tatiana Clouthier belongs to that government.
Likewise, in recent days, the panista had spoken out against the comments of Mario Delgado and Citlalli Hernández in which they said that a bulletin should be given to the deputies who voted against the Electricity Reform and recalled the rugged episode known as the “culiacanzao”, a failed operation in which Ovidio Guzmán López, son of Joaquín Guzmán Loera, was released.
“Traitors to the homeland are the ones who authorized a failed and stupid operation that put the population of Culiacán at risk and after capturing the main kingpin they gave the order to release him because something frowned on them,” Manuel Clouthier wrote on social media.
