The Aguilar Dynasty, mainly made up of Pepe Aguilar, Angela and Leonardo, has positioned itself over the years as one of the most recognized lineages of singers nationwide. But, as well as fame, the controversy around this family is constantly present.

This time, it was Majo Aguilar, Angela's cousin, who revealed that she felt alien to the way of thinking some of her loved ones have, which has left her in the position of being the “black sheep”.

In an interview for Venga la Alegría, the young woman said that since she can remember she has always had contrasting ideas, however, she pointed out that this was never intended to make someone feel bad, but that it is her way of being.

“I think there is a very important thing here if you do things to annoy, because it will go wrong for you, but since I was me, it was always like that and it wasn't to bother and I always tried to do it with great respect, in my case I said: 'OK, I am with you in this, but not in this, '” she told the cameras.

Regarding her father Antonio Aguilar and her uncle Pepe Aguilar, Majo was surprised that both have conservative values at times, even though they are people with a lot of knowledge about a very small variety of topics.

“It's funny because they are very cultured minds because they have known a lot about the world and they also have this part of the traditional, so suddenly it's like, 'how can you make these things so open, but to me...? ' I'm talking about my experience, not Angela,” he said.

She also took the opportunity to “accuse” her mother, who has sometimes been reluctant to have the young woman wear certain types of clothing and show them on her social networks.

“He says to me: 'Your bikini picture again'? I tell her: 'Well, yes, mamacita linda, I also like to show my body and there is nothing wrong with it'”, he said.

Regarding the age at which his parents allowed him to start a romantic relationship, Majo noted that he was told that he would have permission until he was of legal age.

“They said to me, 'Until you're 18 you can have a boyfriend'. I'm not saying, 'eye dads, that's the right thing to do. ' Don't do that to your sons and daughters, let them experiment. Of course I was dating, but I didn't tell my parents,” he concluded jokingly.

It should be remembered that for a long time there have been rumors about an apparent rivalry between Majo and Ángela Aguilar, due to the talent they both have for music.

It was in February 2022 when Pepe Aguilar's daughter broke the silence about it and clarified during an interview with Despierta América that these were just baseless controversies.

There is no rivalry and I just grabbed my cell phone because yesterday I wrote to my cousin and sent her many stickers telling her that congratulations on her nomination (...) There is literally no rivalry between me and my cousin because we started singing together at my grandparents' farewell, I adore her,” she said at the time.

Angela even remarked that she was happy that Majo was doing well and that her music career was on the rise.

“Really, I think that as women we cannot afford to have rivalries because we are in a moment and in a genre where that is no longer accepted,” she said.
