Lolita Cortés regretted that she has not been considered for “The Academy 20 years”: “I would have loved it”

Dolores Vanessa Cortes Jiménez, better known in the world of show business as Lolita Cortes, opened up about her possible participation in La Academia 20 years, a new season of the reality singing show that has released major Mexican stars such as Carlos Rivera, Yuridia, Yahir, Myriam Montemayor, Victor Garcia, to mention some. Amid speculations about her return as Iron Judge, the famous artist lamented that she has not been considered so far.

The 51-year-old interpreter gave an interview to the entertainment journalist Edén Dorantes, where she was questioned about her participation in the new generation of La Academia, on TV Azteca, and the third season of Las Estrellas Bailan en Hoy, Televisa's morning show, this due to rumors that they suggest will not be part of neither of them.

In this regard, Lolita Cortés assured that no person related to the singing reality show has contacted her to agree to return as a judge, for that reason she still cannot confirm her incorporation. The actress hinted that the situation has taken her by surprise because, like many fans of the show, she hoped to return with her scandalous criticism that has made a difference since the third generation.

“I have no idea why there hasn't been any rapprochement so far. The truth is that many people thought and many people thought that there was going to be a rapprochement, I haven't had that approach, but I still hope, I don't know, send a greeting,” he said.

Despite the enthusiasm that exists among the audience to see her on the panel of the jury, Lolita Cortés commented that this may not happen because she believes that if this production had thought about it, surely by this April there would be positive news, but that is not the case: “I think time has passed and if I had thought about me, I think that they would have done it a long time ago.”

However, Lolita Cortés commented that if I did not participate in the project, everything will probably work out because “There have been several academies without me that there have been no problems”, but anyway she thinks it is a shame, especially after her career in reality.

On the other hand, Lolia Cortés confirmed that she will not be a judge in the third season of Las Estrellas dance in Hoy because she will go on a trip in the coming months: “It's going to be very difficult for me. A lot of work came, I'm going to be leaving Mexico, I'm going to be on tour with the Master Class of musical comedy by Lola and Laura Cortés [...] we didn't give up time.”

In order to avoid speculation, the performer clarified that her decision has nothing to do with any problem with the morning and mentioned that she has a great affection for the project because the actors, actresses, singers or comedians who compete leave their comfort zone and take on the big challenge.

“I would have loved it, I love the program, I love the project and I love all the artists who are determined to prove that they can achieve it, that they can improve themselves, I hope that if there is a fourth that they will take me into account being with them,” he added.
