The iconic protagonist of the soap opera Soy Luna
Karol Sevilla is a 22-year-old Mexican actress who began her television career with minor roles in shows such as Sesame Street, La rosa de Guadalupe, Querida Amiga, Mujeres murderers, among others. His big moment came when he starred in Soy Luna, an Argentinian-Mexican youth soap opera that aired between 2016 and 2018. She gave life to Luna Valente, a Mexican teenage student who experiences a radical change in her life when her parents move to Argentina.
The hit Disney Channel series had three seasons and 220 episodes in total. It was created by Jorge Edelstein, and written by Edelstein himself with Gabriela Fiore, Marina Efron and Laura Farhi. Among audiences in Argentina and other Latin American countries, Luna's story took a deep breath because it portrayed how a character is taken to a completely different environment — full of luxuries — and, despite missing her home, she manages to revive her passions for skating and dancing with new friends and unexpected love.
