After work with authorities in Mexico City, Grupo Mexicano de Seguros (GMX Seguros) will make compensation of 1.3 billion pesos to the Metro Collective Transport System (STC), for the losses suffered by the claims of the Control Post and Line 12.

The company's CEO, Jorge Flores, acknowledged the effort and professionalism involved by both parties to reach this agreement, as there was never any doubt as to the origin of the claims.

The firm specified that, in accordance with the conditions of the insurance contract, a figure of just over 1.3 billion pesos was agreed to sign the settlement agreement for both claims, of which more than 1,150 million pesos have been paid to date.

In February 2021, the Metro control center suffered a fire due to a short circuit and almost three months later, on May 3, a section of Line 12 collapsed.
