Fernando Jaramillo, president of the Major Division of Colombian Football, gave a press conference where Cucuta Deportivo's return to professional football was made official. There he clarified some issues such as the bond that Jose Augusto Cadena, formerly president of the institution and sanctioned by the Superintendency of Societies, the format of the tournament and some issues outside Cucuta such as arbitration, Financial Fair Play and Primera C.

The leader was pleased with how the issue of Cucuta Deportivo has been handled and stressed that this is an important city for Colombian football. He also clarified that he has had dialogues with Eduardo Silva Meluk, who was elected as president to carry out the reorganization of the institution:

Fernando Jaramillo assured that the team's decisions in both administrative and sports matters will not be taken by Jose Augusto Cadena, who is subject to a 10-year penalty of disability by the Superintendency of Commerce. However, the controversial management will continue to be linked as an important shareholder:

For the president of Dimayor, this case left a great deal of learning to make Colombian football better in every aspect, efforts are made to ensure the administrative health of Dimayor's affiliates. It is noteworthy that at the last assembly it was agreed with the clubs to pay Cúcuta Deportivo of an unspecified sum of money so that it begins to meet the payments:

In sports, the first game of Cucuta Deportivo will be against Leones FC, a team that rested on the first date of the BetPlay Tournament, with Aquivaldo Mosquera as coach. For the return in 2023 to the top flight of Colombian football, the 'motilones' will have a demanding task:

Jaramillo said that only two clubs did not agree with the return of the North Santander team without giving more details.

Colombian arbitration date after date presents a new controversy over decisions on the pitch. This concern was brought by the club presidents to Ramón Jesurún, president of the Colombian Football Federation, who argued that the problem is worldwide and showed the processes being carried out to improve this item:

Regarding the creation of the Primera C, no major progress has been made despite Fernando Jaramillo emphasizing the importance of giving greater importance to amateur football in the country:

“A category C makes football in Colombia a lot of benefit. Amateur football has a lot of space, but we have to specify that category so that in the future it can provide for the professional football and that those clubs have the possibility of playing in the B and in the A”.

Finally, it was confirmed that the agreement with La Liga de España to regulate Financial Fair Play in Colombian football was terminated, although Dimayor works hand in hand with the Royal Spanish Football Federation to end this aspect that is becoming increasingly important. However, the commitment that clubs must make to make reports transparent is what makes it a difficult issue, according to the president
