Despite the fact that the name Cristian de la Fuente is linked to that of major soap opera productions in Mexico, in recent weeks he has been involved in a regrettable news that has quickly given rise to talk about, because during an assault attempt in Chile his daughter Laura was injured with a bullet in the leg, about which survived, but is still in recovery.
Now the protagonist of melodramas such as Amor Bravío, Dream of Love and Wild Heart (2009) has generated controversy and a wave of applause from women's groups and members of the LGBT+ community after he assured that in his romantic relationship with his wife, Angelica Castro, there are no labels or gender roles conservatives, on the contrary, freedom of thought has meant that classified them as male and female is something that does not depend on their biological sex.
“Well my feminine side is on the whole side of the couple with or good in the relationship I have with my wife. I am the woman and she is the man”, the actor began to tell the cameras of the morning TV Azteca, Venga La Alegría, the same place where he decided to talk for the first time about what happened in his family, despite the fact that the actor has worked almost all the time on Televisa.
For Cristián de la Fuente, it seems that being the typical conservative man who cannot have feelings or behaviors that show his feelings is something of the past, since he began to give more details of what happens in his marriage so that he can consider that the scheme of a heterosexual relationship does not apply to them, this being perhaps the key for the love and professional success that both have achieved in their family environment.
“When we went out as a couple, I wanted us to be engaged and she wanted a free relationship, then I wanted to get married and she didn't want to get married, then I wanted to have the family and she, well then she wanted to have it, but I was always the one who knows all the dates, I celebrate birthdays, I celebrate anniversaries... she in that meaning is more masculine and I am the most feminine part of the relationship,” added the actor.
On the importance in education from a very young age so that any judgment of value or macho attitude is not part of a person, the actor assured that thanks to his mother he retains and possesses good values, so he remembered her with great affection:
“My mother is already 7 years old who is not with me, physically because she is still with me in a different way, but she is in everything that you do, in phrases that I speak with my daughter and my mother in particular was always my accomplice, she always helped me to believe and affirm that in life there are no impossible and to do all the things I wanted to do, from being a pilot or to enter the firefighters, to be an actor or to go to live outside Chile, all the things that were sometimes difficult and like you were afraid to tell dad,” he added.
In a recent interview with various media outlets, journalists did not hesitate to ask Cristian de la Fuente about the tragic scene he experienced and he talked about the time he could die, after a bullet grazed his head.
“I'm here luckily, the bullet hit me 3 centimeters from my head. Sadly he gave it to my daughter, I would have asked to give it to me and not her to this day, but I am lucky that my daughter is alive and is recovering,” he confessed.
