On Thursday morning, the First Court of Barrancabermeja granted guardianship to the Afro-Colombian Corporation of Puerto Wilches (AFROWILCHES) in order to suspend the environmental license of the PPI KALÉ project, which was to be developed by Ecopetrol.

Similarly, the judge stopped the environmental licensing process of the PPII PLATERO project, “until the prior consultation process with the AFROWILCHES Corporation is carried out in all its stages”.
