Copa Colombia: Atlético Nacional thrashed Once and set foot in the semifinals

The Verdolaga was immensely superior to their rival and took an important step in defending the title

On a rain-ridden night, Atlético Nacional hosted Once Caldas at Atanasio Girardot for the quarterfinals of the Dimayor Betplay Cup. The current champion of the tournament began his defense of the title against White-White.

In the first place, in Rey de Copas he wanted to return to victory after falling to Aguilas Doradas for the slightest difference with Christian Marrugo scoring as a visitor for the 16th date of the Dimayor Betplay League.

While those led by Diego Corredor won an important victory at Palo Grande in Manizales against Cortuluá, thanks to an own goal by Jhonatan Pérez.

With scores from Daniel Mantilla, Danovis Banguero and Gio Moreno, Hernán Darío Herrera's team defeated Once Caldas and got a good lead for the return game in Manizales.
