Giovanni Hernandez broke out against his players in the middle of the press conference during his team's last match, last Friday, April 15, after the 3-1 defeat at the hands of Llaneros FC. The former player assured that the team's performance was not normal and that it could be the product of external factors.

Faced with these statements, Jersson González, who recently assumed the technical direction of the Villavicencio team, assured that Hernández's statement was due to the “heat” of the defeat and asked not to mess up his work as coach of Llaneros FC:

Finally, in dialogue with ESPN, the former coach of the American Cali U-20 team said that coaches cannot take refuge in betting to justify their defeats:

the Attorney General's Office decided to close the investigation against the match between Llaneros vs. Unión Magdalena for the supposed fix in the match that defined the promotion of the Santa Marta team. This is because he found no evidence of payment of bribes or bribes.

On the FM, Darcy Quinn said that the criminal investigation concluded that what happened was a spontaneous decision of the Llaneros players, who were unable to win the match and faced the rivalry they maintain with Fortaleza, a team that depended on the victory of the Villavicencio city team, decided to let their rival win.

Meanwhile, journalist Laura Palomino of La W Radio quoted a source from the Prosecutor's Office who indicated the lack of evidence, “There is no evidence of crime arising from the investigative acts. We're still in inquiries.”

It is worth recalling that the Disciplinary Commission of Dimayor reported a few days ago that they would close the investigation against Unión Magdalena for failing to threaten the sportsmanship and fair play of the competition:

“Specifically, the players of Club Unión Magdalena S.A., in the sports event under investigation, put the values of loyalty, mutual respect and dignity first, showing respect for the opponent on the pitch and tending to maintain sportsmanship and fair play, not finding themselves in any when objected to their performance by the experts of the FIFA Integrity Team”.
